From Father to Son

The story of the company Saariselän Loma- ja Ohjelmapalvelu Ky dates back to the early 1980s, when my father, Matti Saastamoinen, began his entrepreneurial journey in Saariselkä.

The services included activity programs, live music performances, cabin maintenance and more.

As a child, I was constantly around my father's work, and over time, the entrepreneurial mindset and passion for customer service became second nature to me. After graduating from school, I naturally followed in his footsteps and took over the business at the beginning of 2004.

It also felt like the right time to refresh the company's image, and so Saariselän Loma- ja Ohjelmapalvelu became known by its new marketing name: Lapland Delight.

I continued as a full-time entrepreneur until 2009, after which I've focused on producing performance-based services alongside my main career.

Today, Lapland Delight offers music, character performances, hosting, and speaking engagements – a welcome contrast to everyday office and sales work.

Years go by, but flexibility, a customer-first mindset, and passion still shine through everything Lapland Delight delivers.
